School Site Council

OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The School Site Council (SSC) is a decision-making group that provides oversight on matters dealing with Federal and State funded programs.

The SSC provides oversight of the academic planning and budgeting process associated with the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) in order to meet the needs of all scholars. SSC members provide meaningful consultation with the Founding/Executive DIrector to oversee the implementation, monitoring, and revision of the LCAP, including reviewing and analyzing data; consulting with advisory groups; evaluating programs and activities; and allocating the expenditure of funds available to the school through categorical programs.

MEMBERSHIP

The School Site Council (SSC) is an elected group of parents, classified staff, and certificate staff who work with the Founding/Executive Director to develop, review, and participate in the co-creation of policies and programs, as well as evaluate the use of funds for school improvement programs.

Our School Site Council is made up of four parents with one alternate, one classified employee, two teachers, and one administrator. Each member is elected from their constituent groups to serve a two-year term.
