LCAP
Local Control and Accountability Plan

LOCAL CONTROL ACCOUNTABILITY PLAN (LCAP)

Public schools are required to develop a three-year plan called the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), which involves the parents and staff working together to determine how to best meet the needs of all scholars. It is then studied, revised, and approved by the School Site Council (SSC) and the school's Board. Vibrant Minds Charter School's current LCAP represents the third year of a three-year cycle. Each year, the LCAP is revisited and revised. At this time, it retains the name of GOALS Academy, which was our school's former name. Due to COVID-19, the LCAP will not be required this school year. Instead, a different planning document will need to be completed called the Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan.

The first document is GOALS Academy's LCAP, whereas the second document is an Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Federal Addendum that was newly required by the United States Department of Education last year.

Vibrant Minds: Family and Staff Team

What Our Families Are Saying!

"Project-based learning is how we feed out minds. We walked in as students and walked out as scholars." Mayra Velazquez

"A place where your children will find their strengths and will learn to empower themselves." Silvia Favela

"We can't say enough good things about our school! They are true to their mission of developing interests into strengths by offering a wide variety of opportunities for every scholar, both in the regular school day and in the after-school program. Our girls have explored a number of musical instruments, cooking, sewing, coding, woodworking, dance, gymnastics, and vocal performance, just to name a few. And they have embraced a growth mindset as they learn how to tackle projects independently and as part of a team."  Alyssa Truman

"I am pleased with the entire staff and their genuine concern with my grandson's academic growth. Thank you!"

"I absolutely love this school. Thank you, Vibrant Minds Charter School!"

"I love this school, wonderful teachers, and staff that give the best care and kindness to my kids. Dr. Schroeder is the best director I have ever encountered. She is warm, kind, and loving and creates a safe and happy environment for everyone."
