LOCAL CONTROL ACCOUNTABILITY PLAN (LCAP)
Public schools are required to develop a three-year plan called the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), which involves the parents and staff working together to determine how to best meet the needs of all scholars. It is then studied, revised, and approved by the School Site Council (SSC) and the School Board. Vibrant Minds Charter School's current LCAP represents the first year of a three-year cycle. Each year, the LCAP is revisited and revised. Instead, a different planning document will need to be completed called the Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan.
The first document is GOALS Academy's LCAP, whereas the second document is an Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Federal Addendum that was newly required by the United States Department of Education last year.
