F.A.S.T. stands for Family and Staff Team. In a traditional setting, schools will often have a PTA or PTO. Vibrant Minds Charter School has created F.A.S.T., which involves all stakeholders -- scholars, staff, and parents. The primary mission of F.A.S.T. is to promote family involvement in the co-creation of VMCS and its vision for a strength-based approach to teaching and learning. F.A.S.T. coordinates volunteerism, mentoring, and fundraising.
PRESIDENT, JENNIFER CENTA

Jennifer Centa is a founding parent at Vibrant Minds Charter School. She has been involved with FAST since its beginning in August 2015. Jennifer has served on the Family and Staff Team (FAST) as President, Event Coordinator, Historian and Treasurer. Jenn is excited to work with the FAST team again this year and help create exciting events, fun meetings, and successful fundraisers. She is especially excited to help make memories for our scholars and families at VMCS.
Jennifer and her husband Tim, along with their family, moved from Colorado to California seven years ago. When searching for an elementary school for their children, Jennifer and Tim wanted a school which offered outstanding academics as well as field trips and an after-school program. A school where scholars could learn new skills such as art, cooking, woodshop, computer coding, music, robotics, technology, performing arts as well as the GATE Program. They found all that and so much more at Vibrant Minds Charter School.
All four of the Centa children have graduated or are currently attending VMCS. Jackson is a freshman in high school, Natalie is in the 8th grade, Kaitlyn is in the 7th grade and Sophia is in Mrs. Megill’s 1st grade at VMCS.
Jennifer’s professional experience includes more than 13 years as a Marketing Director for a Regional Shopping Mall in Colorado. She graduated with an Associate Degree in Graphic Design as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism/ Advertising from the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO. Jenn has designed the Vibrant Minds Charter School yearbook for the past 6 years and has also created many flyers for our school events. Jenn enjoys camping with her family, traveling to new places, going to the beach, and cooking delicious food. Jennifer is very excited about our school. “It is a wonderful opportunity to be able to volunteer and serve our families and staff at Vibrant Minds Charter School. I am excited to see its continued growth and I cannot wait for its future success!”
