INTEREST FORM
Because the level of interest in our school exceeds our current space availability, we have a transparent and consistent process in place regarding how scholars acquire entrance into VMCS. It all begins with the completion of a simple Interest Form, which does not commit you to enrolling your scholar in our school. But, it does demonstrate your interest in our school and places your scholar's name in our public drawing. Then, if you receive a call saying your scholar is selected, you can determine if you wish to follow through with an enrollment packet. If interested, please complete our Interest Form, which will take you less than five minutes. It all begins here!

- Prior to January 1, 2025: Scholars currently eligible for Grades TK-6 age are placed on a waiting list.
- Beginning January 1, 2025: Scholars are placed in the drawing, which occurs on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 10:00 a.m..
- Enrollment Drawing: Families can attend in-person, or view the livestream video on Facebook.
- Registration: Registration Packets are due Friday, March 14, 2025, by 5:00 p.m.*
- After February 27, 2025, scholars are appended to the waiting list.
SELECTION PROCESS
The Recruitment and Enrollment Timeline document describes the process by which scholars are selected for admission to VMCS. Families are invited to view the public drawing either through a live transmission on the Vibrant Minds TK-6 Facebook site (https://www.facebook.com/VMCharterSchool/) or in-person.
NORMAL GRADE PLACEMENT FOR CALIFORNIA
Throughout California, a chart such as this is used to determine a scholar's NGP (Normal Grade Placement). This may be helpful to you as you determine when your scholar is of the correct age to enter Transitional Kindergarten or Kindergarten. Please note that the entry date for Transitional Kindergarten has been changed in California to include more scholars. This is in progress, and an update to this chart may occur. Unfortunately, VMCS does not have a preschool option, which would occur prior to Transitional Kindergarten.
