MEET MS. MORGAN

Hello Everyone!

My name is Sara Morgan, and I am the school counselor! 

My first job working with kids was actually as a cook at CSUF. After a semester I moved to the infant room and worked there for two years until I finished my Bachelor's degree in Child Development. After graduation, I worked at a couple of different schools, and I even opened my own daycare. I returned to school a few years later and earned a Master's Degree in Counseling from Chapman University. Because of the recession, I was laid off from my job as an Instructional Assistant and had no luck finding a counseling job, so I went back to my daycare. I loved being home with my kids while they were young, but now that they are adults, I decided to move on and go back to working in a school setting. 

I continue to be excited to be working alongside the amazing teachers and staff this year at VMCS. My counseling goal is to help support the scholars of VMCS so they can feel safe, make good choices, learn, develop problem-solving skills, and cope with their feelings.
