MEET MS. ABDELMALAK (MS. A.)
Hello!
I am so excited to begin my sixth year here at Vibrant Minds Charter School! I have played multiple roles at our school. Two years ago, I transitioned from being the Education Specialist to being the Transitional Kindergarten teacher. This year I will serve as the Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) for Grades 3-4. I will primarily work with our English Learners and scholars struggling in reading and writing. In May of 2017, I graduated from California State University, Long Beach, with a Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies and two teaching credentials. I was part of the first cohort of the Urban Dual Credential Program wherein I earned two teaching credentials - a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and an Education Specialist Credential in Mild/Moderate Disabilities. Before I began my teaching career, I was working on the education administrative side at a community college and most recently, the Orange County Department of Education. When I am not teaching, I love both being at home and traveling. My favorite thing to do is read. I enjoy watching TV shows and completing puzzles. I love traveling and exploring new places. I love eating and finding new restaurants to share with my friends and family. I enjoy cooking and baking and finding new recipes to try. I'm honored and grateful to continue to learn and grow as an educator alongside my scholars and colleagues this year! With gratitude, Diana Abdelmalak Contact me at [email protected] |
