MEET MS. MCCANN

Welcome to the amazing world of Transitional Kindergarten! My name is Ms. McCann, and I am extremely excited to be one of the Transitional Kindergarten teachers this year at Vibrant Minds Charter School. 

Before coming to Vibrant Minds Charter School in 2017, I received a Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Administration. Once I began working here I just knew that this was my calling. I went on to receive my Masters Degree and credential through Grand Canyon University. For 7 years, I was an instructional assistant many of our other grade levels. I have worked with TK, Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 4th grade. This journey as a teacher is one that I am blessed to have and very excited to explore! 

During this year, some of the things that I want to focus on are fine and gross motor skills, social skills, listening and speaking, following directions, phonemic awareness , number sense, and much more. With this first year of school I am hoping to grow their love for school and learning. 

When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy hiking, watching my nephews basketball and baseball games, spending time with my family, find fun new restaurants to try, and just hanging out at home. 

I am really looking forward to this year and all of the amazing things that will happen!
