MEET MRS. PEREZ

Welcome to the exciting world of Transitional Kindergarten! My name is Mrs. Perez, and I am beyond excited to be our Transitional Kindergartners first teacher this year at Vibrant Minds Charter School!

I was the primary grade T.O.S.A. for GOALS Academy from January through June 2020. However, you knew me as Miss Saucedo! I got married in April 2020 and am now Mrs. Perez. I then taught Grade 3 for four years at Vibrant Minds Charter School.

Before coming to GOALS Academy and Vibrant Minds Charter School, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies: Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special Education, as well as my Teaching Credential, from Biola University. I worked several years in classrooms as a one-on-one aide and in home settings doing applied behavior analysis for children with special needs. I'm looking forward to this new role of being your classroom teacher!

A few of the things we will focus on this year are social skills, listening and speaking, following directions, fine and gross motor control, phonemic awareness, number sense, and so much more. During the first year of school, we want our scholars to love learning and love school. We will. have lots of fun together!

When I am not teaching, I love to chill at the beach and go on drives with my husband. We have recently adventured to the beaches of San Diego, went stargazing in Joshua Tree, and camped out in Big Bear. We love raising our young daughter together.
