MEET MS. KAHLER

Hello! My name is Karen Kahler, and I am the 3rd/4th combo teacher at Vibrant Minds Charter School. 

I am half Japanese and was born and raised in Hiroshima, Japan. There, I attended a K-12 International School until I moved to California to attend university. I received my Bachelor's degree in Integrated Educational Studies, Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and teaching credential from Chapman University. 

At Vibrant Minds, I have previously been the grades 3/4 TOSA and 3rd grade teacher. This year, I am so excited to teach one of the first combo classes here at Vibrant Minds! I have previous experience teaching 4th grade at a different charter school in Anaheim. I am so excited to be sharing my love for learning with two of my favorite grade levels this year in our tight-knit class!

Outside of the classroom, I love to spend time with my friends and family. My sport of choice is volleyball, but I also love going on walks. My favorite activity though, is relaxing at home while watching my favorite shows! I am also getting married in March of 2026, which is a very exciting milestone in my life!
